Drowning Hand Media
Alongside the services, we build and operate audience properties of our own.
What we publish
Evergreen editorial guides and product reviews, written from verified buyer evidence and the makers' published claims, labeled as such. One object or one question per page. We write the downside before the upside, we never print a price, and every page carries a disclosure and the date it was last changed.
Our properties
Useless Until Needed (uselessuntilneeded.com) is a field guide to the boring objects that save the day: the tire inflator in the trunk, the water alarm in the basement, the radio that still works when the grid does not. Its about page explains how objects are chosen and reviewed. New properties launch under the same standards.
How we work with brands and networks
We work on affiliate and performance terms: cost per sale, cost per action, revenue share, hybrid and flat fee. We do not sell editorial placements, sponsored reviews or verdicts, and a commission never changes a recommendation. Every placement carries a clear disclosure and follows the program's terms. Where an offer calls for it, we extend our content across search, social, email and video, matching the channel to the offer rather than the other way around.
Standards
Five rules govern every page we publish: evidence first; the downside comes first; no prices; no pay to play; dated and corrected. They are written out in full at uselessuntilneeded.com/about.
